From the look of things, the tough-talking supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, has been used and dumped by President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, who were said to be supporting his ambition.
During some of his noise-making rallies in Port Harcourt, Wike’s associate, Sergeant Awuse, had described him as the Minister of Education and even cautioned the media to stop referring to Wike as “supervising”. But with the latest turn of event, it appears Mama Peace and her husband no longer trusts Wike.
President Jonathan on Wednesday swear-in four new ministers, who were cleared by National Assembly. The ministers are Ibrahim Shekarau, Stephen Oru, Adedayo Adeyeye and Abdul Bulama.
Shortly after swearing them in, the President announced their portfolio…
Ibrahim Shekarau as the new Education Minister; Adedayo Adeyeye, Minister of State for Works; Stephen Oru, Minister of Niger Delta; and Mr. Bulama, Minister of Science and Technology.
Jonathan also announced that the current Minister of Works, Bashir Yuguda, will now be the Minster of State for Finance and substantive Minister of National Planning.
Mr. Yuguda is filling the vacancy created by the exit of former minister of state of finance, Yerima Ngama.
In his remarks, President Jonathan congratulated the new ministers on their appointment and urged them to work hard not to only impress him but also Nigerians as they were coming in at the ‘injury time.’
So, who is the PDP leader in Rivers State? Is it Wike, a Junior Minister or Danagogo, a Senior Minister? lol!
